This event promises valuable insights into effectively communicating research concepts and crafting compelling proposals. Learn from distinguished speakers in the field of social policy:

 

Ghada Barsoum: Associate Professor and Chair of the Department of Public Policy and Administration, The American University in Cairo (AUC). With over seventy publications, Barsoum’s expertise spans social policies in the Middle East, women’s work and employment policies, green jobs, and higher education policies. She has consulted for renowned organizations, including the World Bank and various UN agencies.

 

Rahaf Zaher: Research Assistant at PROCOL Lebanon, Institute for Global Prosperity (UCL). Zaher has contributed to projects on livelihood networks and political experience in Beirut, Lebanon. Her research interests include feminism, imperial studies, political psychology, public policy and governance, and political economy.

 

Noura Wahby: Assistant Professor at the Department of Public Policy and Administration, The American University in Cairo. Wahby’s work focuses on the political economy of urban development and urban waterscapes in Cairo, Egypt. Her research, recognized with the 2019 Malcolm H. Kerr Best Dissertation Award, explores topics such as the urban commons, governance, informality, water, and political economy. She also directs the Middle East Studies programs at AUC.
